So in other words, I pronounced the word “naif” as “nayhife” because I was naive about how “naif” was actually pronounced…does it get more ironic than that? But nonetheless, I really liked the sound of the word, and I began to incorporate it into my daily life by creating my own spelling of the word. I introduced the word to my brother, Qynton, and it became a funny exclamation we would use regularly, like our own version of saying “darn” or “fiddlesticks”. It also became a perfect internet username for me, as it was easy to remember, easy to spell, and never taken by someone else.
